Jay-Z donated private jet to fight Ahmaud Arrbery case to justices


Jay-Z sent a private jet to pick up civil rights lawyer Lee Merritt in order for him to attend late Ahmaud Arbery's court case

- Arbery was chased by two white men then shot by one of them while jogging through a Georgia neighbourhood in February

- The preliminary hearing that began on Thursday will determine if the men, including a former cop, accused of killing Arbery are likely to have committed the crimes they are being charged of




Jay-Z made sure that late Ahmaud Arbery's family lawyer was in time for Arbery's alleged killers' court appearance.
The rapper sent Arbery's lawyer, S Lee Merritt a private jet in order to attend the preliminary hearing that began on Thursday.

Arbery was chased by two white men then shot by one of them while jogging through a Georgia neighbourhood in February.

Merrit posted:

"When you absolutely have to be in court to stand with your client and righteous protestors for justice... Jay Z sends his private jet. XXL magazine reports that this probable cause hearing will determine if former police officer Gregory McMichael, his son Travis McMichael and William "Roddie" Bryan Jr., the man who recorded the video of Arbery's death, are likely to have committed the crimes they are being charged of and decide whether or not the case will go to trial.

According to XXL, Gregory and Travis have been charged with murder and aggravated assault, and William was charged with felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment. Travis fired the gun that killed Arbery.

Numerous protests have taken place across the US this week in honour of Arbery, as well as George Floyd who was murdered in Minneapolis and Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed by police in Louisville.

Similarly, Legit.ng previously reported that Jay-Z has took out multiple newspaper advertisements in remembrance of late African American George Floyd.
